There has been a pub on this site since 1870. Enveloped by the one-way traffic system, it has been sensitively modernised and boasts a single wood-panelled lounge bar, with entrances on two streets, and seating outside in the summer.

Three beers from the wider Greene King range are usually available and food is served all day (roasts on Sunday). Popular as a lunch stop with Broadmead shoppers as well as local office workers.
