  • COTY award presentation Saturday 22 August 2026 16:00 Backwell Village Club

    South West region Club of the Year 2026 award presentation to the Backwell Village Club.

    Yes, having won the Bristol & District branch award, it then went on to the next stage and won the South West region award.

    All welcome to attend and congratulate them.

  • Meet & Greet social in central Bristol including special award presentation Wednesday 26 August 2026 19:30 Volunteer Tavern

    Meet & Greet social starting at 7.30pm at the Volunteer Tavern brewpub, New Street, St Judes, and moving on at about 8.45pm to the nearby Crown Tavern on Lawfords Gate.

    While at the latter, there will be a special award presentation to Sam Gregory, owner of the Crown and the man responsible for saving the pub.

    All welcome, whether CAMRA members or not.

    Branch AGM at the Shakespeare Tavern in Prince Street, Bristol, 8pm. Open to all branch members – please bring CAMRA membership cards.

  • Good Beer Guide 2027 local launch Friday 25 September 2026 12:00 – 18:00 .

    A local launch of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2027 in a Bristol pub (to be announced soon) where you’ll be able to buy a copy for a discounted price.

  • BAD Ladies Hotwells Hops Saturday 26 September 2026 14:00 Merchants Arms

    We’ll meet around 2pm at the Merchants Arms on Merchants Road, a traditional free house offering a range of regional beers.

    Next we’ll visit the Pump House across the road, an impressive Grade II-listed building that once powered Bristol Harbour’s bridges and locks – now a Bristol Beer Factory pub with a large terrace where we can (potentially) enjoy some sun.

    Our last stop will be over the bridge to the Nova Scotia; hopefully here we can also enjoy some drinks on the waterfront while soaking up some late September sunshine

    Kicking off at the top of the hill with Wickwar pub, the Cotham Porter Stores (15 Cotham Road South, Kingsdown, Bristol, BS6 5TZ), we’ll then make our way down to the Hillgrove Porter Stores (53 Hillgrove Street North, Kingsdown, Bristol, BS2 8LT), which serves a wide range of ales from South West breweries. Our last stop will be the Hare On The Hill (41 Thomas Street North, Kingsdown, Bristol, BS2 8LX) where we can reflect on a fun-filled year of BAD Ladies adventures!
